Three Young Performers Are Getting Ready To Bring Dirty Dancing To The Toronto Stage, And They're Determined To Make The '80S Classic-Turned-Jukebox Musical Their Own.None of the leads in the Toronto stage production of Dirty Dancing saw the original film in a cinema. "I was eight years old and wasn't allowed to see it," says Monica West, 28, a Milwaukee-born dancer from a strict religious background who plays Baby, the role made famous by Jennifer Grey. "I listened to the music and made up dances with my sister and loved it, but when I saw the movie in high school, it was wild because we'd already made up our own show."
