Canada is poised to shimmer at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival. Organizers announced yesterday they have landed new films from several of the major names in Canadian cinema, including David Cronenberg, Denys Arcand and Francois Girard.Cronenberg, who is joined at the hip with the filmfest, told a press conference he is delighted to be back: "I don't actually feel that I've made the movie until it's been shown in the festival."The director showed up with actor and friend Mortensen, who is in Toronto briefly to do dialogue inserts for the film. He said he was comfortable working a second time with Cronenberg. "I knew -- and he knew -- the good, the bad and ugly of working together."
